MatrixMap is a Chrome new tab extension developed by Neal Vanderstelt (GigInsanity).


WHAT DATA WE COLLECT:

MatrixMap collects minimal data to provide its features:

- Authentication information (email address) when you optionally sign in with Google for premium subscription management

- Anonymous feature usage analytics (tile click types only — no URLs, page titles, or browsing history)


All user preferences (shortcuts, themes, wallpaper choices, to-do items, weather location) are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage.


WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT:

- Browsing history

- Website content

- Personal communications

- Financial information

- Location data beyond the city name you manually enter for weather


THIRD-PARTY SERVICES:

- Google Firebase (authentication and premium status)

- Open-Meteo (weather data)

- Google Analytics (anonymous usage counts)


DATA SHARING:

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties.
