GigPulse respects user privacy and is designed to operate with minimal data collection.

Information Collection

GigPulse does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal data to external servers.

The app operates entirely locally on the user's device. All calculations and processing happen on-device only.

Accessibility Service Usage

GigPulse uses Android's Accessibility Service to read on-screen text from rideshare apps (such as Uber and Lyft) to:

  • Calculate real-time hourly rates for trip offers
  • Detect bonus and surge pricing opportunities
  • Display rate overlays to help drivers make informed decisions

The Accessibility Service is NOT used to:

  • Collect passwords, messages, or personal information
  • Track user location
  • Record or transmit any data off-device
  • Interact with banking or payment apps

Permissions

GigPulse requests the following permissions:

  • Accessibility Service: To read rideshare app screens and calculate trip rates
  • Display Over Other Apps: To show rate overlay on screen
  • Notifications: To alert users of bonus opportunities
  • Vibration: For alert notifications (optional)

These permissions are used only for core app functionality and are never used to collect personal data.

Trip Screenshots Feature

If enabled by the user, GigPulse can save screenshots of trip offers to the device's local storage (Pictures/GigPulse folder). These images remain on the device and are never uploaded or transmitted.

Data Sharing

GigPulse does not share user data with third parties. No analytics, advertising SDKs, or trackers are used.

Data Storage

All app settings and preferences remain on the user's device. No cloud storage or external servers are used.

Children's Privacy

GigPulse is not intended for use by children under 18. The app is designed for adult gig economy workers.

This policy may be updated as the app evolves. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
