CaddyCast Privacy Policy

CaddyCast is a screen and camera recording application for Android. This Privacy Policy describes how CaddyCast collects, uses, and protects your information.

Information We Collect: CaddyCast uses Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google, to collect crash reports and basic performance diagnostics. This may include device model, operating system version, crash stack traces, app version, and a randomly generated installation identifier not tied to your personal identity. This data does not include any content you record, your name, email address, phone number, or location.

Information We Do NOT Collect: All screen recordings, camera recordings, and photos are saved directly to your device's local storage (DCIM/CaddyCast). We never access, upload, transmit, or store your recorded content. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, browsing history, or any personally identifiable information.

Permissions: Screen Capture — Required to record your screen. Camera — Required for camera recording and photos. Microphone — Required to capture audio. Display Over Other Apps — Required for the floating controls overlay. Foreground Service — Required to keep recording active in the background. Notifications — Used to show recording status. Read Media — Required to display saved recordings in the app. None of these permissions are used to collect, transmit, or share your data.

How We Use Information: Crash data is used exclusively to fix bugs and improve stability. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your data. Firebase Crashlytics data is processed by Google under their privacy terms and cannot identify you personally.

Data Retention: Crash data is retained 90 days then auto-deleted. Recordings stay on your device under your control.

Children's Privacy: CaddyCast is not directed at children under 13. We do not collect personal information from any users.
