Calorie Cruncher — Privacy Policy

Your data

Calorie Cruncher stores your food log, custom foods, calorie targets, adult profile (age, sex used by the calculation, height, weight, activity and goal), preferences and cached premium status in private app storage on your device. No account is required. This release has no advertising, analytics, crash-upload service, cloud synchronization or developer server. The app does not send your food log or profile to the developer. Automatic cloud backup and device transfer of app data are excluded; do not rely on them to recover your log.

Purchases

Optional Premium is a one-time purchase through Google Play. Google processes purchases under its own terms and privacy policy. The app queries Google Play for prices and purchase ownership, acknowledges completed purchases, and stores premium status and verification timestamps locally. The developer does not receive payment-card details through the app. Google may separately retain transaction records. Restoration requires the purchasing Google account and a Play connection.

Export and deletion

You can export your food log from Settings as a CSV file to a location you select with Android's document picker. Exports contain health-related information; protect them. A cloud provider you choose may receive the exported file. Uninstalling does not delete exported copies. To remove local logs, profile and preferences, use Android Settings > Apps > Calorie Cruncher > Storage > Clear storage, or uninstall. This does not cancel/refund purchases or erase Google's transaction records; manage purchases through Google Play.

Permissions and security

Network connectivity is used for Google Play purchase services. This release does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts or Health Connect access. Data uses Android's private storage and platform protections. No system guarantees absolute security; anyone with access to your unlocked device or exports may see your data.

Adults and nutrition estimates

This app is intended for adults 18 and older and is not designed for children. Food values and calculated targets may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify portions and labels. Manual entries may have no macro information. The bundled common-food list is limited and is not a complete branded-food or restaurant database.

Calorie Cruncher is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. It provides general tracking information, not medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice and before making health decisions. Calculated targets are estimates, not individualized prescriptions.
